Voodoo.com Dominates the Domainer Mardi Gras

Voodoo.com dominated the Domainer Mardi Gras last week selling for $300,000.

It in fact sold for more than the sum total of all the other sold domains!

I must say that I can’t see why it would sell for $300K.  The only way I can imagine this is if it were bought up by the people at voodoopc.com They specialize in custom gaming consoles.  With gaming challenging the movie industry in terms of income, they might have paid such a price for this domain name.

Chef Patrick’s Video Blogs on Domaining

Today I stumbled across the video news blogs from Chef Patrick.  These are now sponsored at Domaining.com in the upper right-hand corner of the screen under What Happened This Week.

These are also archived on Chef Patrick’s site.

I found these news clips to be very helpful.  Chef Patrick informs us on recent domain name sales and gives us his thoughts on the potential of the domain name as well his assessment of its value.

Enjoy!

Toys R Us Acquires Toys.com for $5.1 Million!

Toys “R” Us won the auction for Toys.com with a winning bid of $5.1 Million!

This is an excellent acquisition by Toys “R” Us rivalling that of Johnson & Johnsons Baby.com

DomainNameNews writes:

The final blow by Toys”R”us was a $5,100,000 bid that trumped National A1’s $5,000,000 bid.  Up until this point, the 2 bidders were volleying back and forth with $5,000 bid increments and dragging out the process by requesting breaks before putting in their counter bids.  The auction started at 1pm CST and drug on until about 4:25 pm
